you like/desire, but where people are most likely discriminatory or would you choose a job that is average, but where people are mostly supportive of you being trans?
I chose the latter. I figured I spend more time at work than anywhere else, so might as well felt welcome and supported. To OP, you must know that there's no such thing as the 'perfect' job or most desired job or average job. Anyone who has worked at least a few years in different jobs will tell you the same thing. Every job is the same, every job is going to be stressful. Because you are working for people and they are going to expect the best out of you. And if you cannot be yourself, you cannot be your best.
Hi OP, I am currently stealth at my workplace, but I really enjoy my work even though it's stressful. I had a job at somewhere where people know that I am trans and are mostly okay with it, but I feel that the job is not bringing me anywhere. As much as it's better to feel accepted, having a passion/drive for what I do matters to me too. No job is easy, but at least I don't have to wake up feeling dreadful about doing something I don't enjoy. Don't let who you are limit what you can do.
I'd prefer the latter. For me happiness doesn't just come from having my dream job
